Imbibe some Arizona Stronghold wine at Vino in Alhambra

An old buddy of mine just opened up a wine bar in Los Angeles, and is the only wine bar in the area to sell Arizona Stronghold wines, from winemakers Eric Glomski and Maynard James Keenan. They've got the entire line... except the Chardonnay. Here's the thing - if you call ahead and ask for the wine director, Andrew Stuart, and tell him that Matt appreciated that surprise bottle of champagne back in 2002, he'll give you a 10% discount when you stop in.

You can find out more about Vino at Trios at their facebook page, or if your'e in the area, drive over to 10 N. 1st St. in Alhambra, CA. Or just call Andrew at (626) 284-4674.

Mmm, delicious wine. And now back to your regularly scheduled longform drought of Tool news.

Update from MJK regarding live videos + YouTube

Keep this in mind before you want to upload something:

We are currently working on some form of reciprocal exchange. Almost 100% of the copyright infringement on uTube from other channels never gives a nod to the source. No mention of www.puscifer.com or www.youtube.com/pusciferdotcom being the official channels for Puscifer, Caduceus, A Perfect Circle, and Tool. No traffic is sent our way. This recent barrage of cease and desist notices is an attempt to correct this. People/artists doing videos using our work without permission deliver an added sting when they don't even mention our sites. We are independent. We NEED the traffic to OUR URL's and channels to survive as an independent project. So some form of reciprocating gesture needs to be put in place for us not to be pricks about it all. Then and only then will we consider allowing people to use our art and product in conjunction with theirs.
Having said that, NO live footage is EVER permitted. The live experience is to be enjoyed in the moment. Not on the internet.
We'll be in touch.

Puscifer releases video for "Conditions" title track

One of my favorite things about the internet is how you don't have to sit around through hours of crap to see a new music video. And with that, Rolling Stone's got "Conditions of my Parole" streaming. Enjoy!

Puscifer's follow-up album far better than cover art lets on

Conditions of my ParoleMaynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell, Josh Eustis, Carina Round, Juliette Commagere, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Freidl, Gil & Rani Sharone, Jonny Polonsky, Tim Alexander, Devo Keenan, Alessandro Cortini, Sarah Jones, and Jon Theodore. I think that covers everyone involved in Conditions of my Parole, the album by Puscifer that's available now (if not very soon). If you haven't already heard it, or maybe you're wary of it given previous Puscifer output, Spin's got a full preview for your streaming pleasure, so you can try before you buy, like it used to be at indie CD shops.

Puscifer was one of those projects that I was really excited about, and then found myself quite let down when music finally emerged. I honestly only dug one or two songs off "V is for Vagina," although I was fortunate enough to catch their show in Philadelphia and while the ham was sometimes too thick, it was entertaining and worth the short trip to the TLA. The remixes didn't do it for me, but something happened with "'C' Is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference HERE)‎" - just about the whole thing was really, really good.

So when I did the terrible pirate thing a week or two ago and downloaded a leak of Conditions of my Parole, I tried not to get my hopes up, lest I be let down like I was with the debut. In fact, despite the goofy cover art, this album is a keeper. Previously I'd cherry-picked tracks from previous releases (thanks Amazon, iTunes) - though I'm not much of a pre-orderer anymore, as soon as I can buy this album, I'm buying the whole thing. Definitely a keeper.

View Puscifer's new 'Man Overboard' video on Rolling Stone.com

"Man Overboard," the first video from Puscifer's second album, Conditions of My Parole, pairs the band's incredibly tense music with dark, grimy digital animation depicting a band rocking out at sea on a rusty old ship. Frontman Maynard James Keenan – best known for his work with Tool and A Perfect Circle – is typically intense, but he brings a wry sense of humor to the piece that is echoed in the clip's visuals. -RS

New Puscifer in October

From Maynard's Facebook page

Finishing up some new tracks. Hoping to mix in the coming month with the hopes of an October release. As soon as we have it in the can, we'll begin taking pre-orders on www.puscifer.com. It's sounding pretty tasty. Fairly confident you'll be pleased.

With APC busy touring and rumors of new Tool material this could be a great year for fans of the three.
