Hit Parader top whatever list.

Sifting through the magazine rack at Borders i came across Hit Parader and their March/April issue featuring the "top 200 hard rock cds you cant live without". Two Tool albums made that list, 10,000 days at 124 and Undertow at 78. As much as ive grown to like(maybe love)10,000 days i dont see how it would make that list over Lateralus. Also while checking out their website apparently their was another "lists" issue last month of the top 100 live shows and doing a search apparently Tool was 31 on that list.
Hopefully, some real news will come our way here soon.

Maynard talks shop with MTV about Grammys, mentions new album

This article at erroneously titled Music Television has Chris Harris and Robert Mancini catching up with Tool frontman and Puscifer maestro Maynard James Keenan. Probably of most interest to those reading this page is the line, "We're going to start writing the new Tool record right away," but he also talks about how he was looking forward to the Foo Fighters performance, and that the reason he went to the Grammys was primarily to check it out with his son Devo - cello player on Billy Howerdel's new project Ashes Divide. Visit MTV.com for the full article.

Grammy, no. New TOOL album, yes!

If you watched last nights Grammy Awards in the hopes of seeing Tool accept an award, you wouldnt have seen them as their category was untelevised plus they lost, but according to this Rolling Stone article, Maynard and Danny were spotted at the sony/BMG afterparty and apparently Maynard "promised" that their will be another TOOL album.

Search, submission, archives back online.

So I overlooked a couple of, uh, minor sections of the site when moving everything to the new server. You can now search the archives of the front page news and actually get to the results. A link to the News Submission form has returned, so in the event that something is actually happening involving Tool, you can get in touch with us about it.

Also, if you are still getting the lite version of our RSS feed, you should know that it is no longer available... please point your RSS readers to http://feeds.feedburner.com/toolnews to get the headlines in your favorite feed reader.

Also, I have a lot of screen real estate on the left-hand side of the page, and was wondering if there are any tool sites you frequent that you would like to see a link to in our menu. (note: You can visit Fourth Eye by clicking the title of their feed on the right) Suggestions can be directed to me via email. And finally, a couple alternate themes for the site are in the works, including a light version of the site (no transparency, runs more smoothly if you're using Firefox on an older computer) and a theme based on the artwork for the album Undertow. If I get spare time, I'd also like to populate our article archive system with more Tool articles. If that's the sort of thing you've collected in the past, and you'd be willing to send that my way, please email me. Thanks.

A break in the silence.

Yes, we are still alive around here, just not much going on it seems or not much being let out about what is going on in the tool camp. If youve been checking up on Toolband/Toolarmy.coms then youve noticed the postings about friends of the band doing shows and pics of Justin and Danny on vacation. Blair hinted in last months clipping from the newsletter that it was going to be a good one then he posted the entire newsletter yesterday and i couldnt get myself to read past the 5th paragraph so if any of you did finish it and found something noteworthy let me know!
I still think there is going to be something big announced here soon but thats just a hunch so we'll see. Ive been on a Led Zeppelin fix since their reunion a few weeks back and since I havnt posted a video on here in a few months here is one that i found on youtube from back in 94(it says) of Tool doing No Quarter, one of my highlights from Salival.
