Victory was ours!

To keep you up to date, St.Louis' ThePoint 105.7 annual Band March Madness(mayhem) deal featured a matchup between bitter rivals NIN and Tool today(apparently Tool was last years all around champion, how this got by me ill never know). If youre unaware of theninhotline and their aggressive attempts at conquering all things NIN, well im here to tell you that they do. Even so, they were unable to stop Tool fans as NIN only received a measly 27 percent of the vote today! Way to go St.Louis' Tool fans and anyone else who voted today.

Its a Girl!

Not Tool related but our friend Hellboy over at FourthEye is now the proud father of a baby girl, Zahra Rose. Congrats from us at the hotline!

Puscifer stuff.

As many of you Puscifer street teamers are already aware of, Maynard sent out an email with a little info regarding Puscifer today. There is now a Puscifer forum for members to "exchange ideas, update you on what's going on, discuss Puscifer, discuss the various challenges of being an independent artist and coordinate street team efforts" and can be found here.
More news regarding the April 29th vinyl and itunes deluxe versions of 'V is for Vagina', The undertaker(spanish fly mix) will be included along with two remixes from Blestnation.
Finally, Travis from Buddyhead did a teaser video(not the official video)for dozo which you can view below.

Vote for Tool, win a tv.

Well, its that time of year again. March Band Madness is here. The folks over at TNH have put up a few links of radio stations doing their band madness type deal and it seems that of the ones posted TOOL is also involved and seeded higher than nin in each one, as a 2 seed in all of them. I know we dont get the traffic that they get and i dont see us being able to beat those nin fans but it is something fun to do while waiting for some tool news also there are prizes involved(i couldnt find any rules stating you must live in their area but you would probably have to travel to claim anything though).
Q101.1 Chicago's alternative,92.3 K-Rock-The Rock of New Yorkand104.1 The Rock of Boston are a few of the ones that i have personally checked out. If any of you out there know of anything your local station is doing let me know and ill put it up on here.
Oh and Blair posted a newsletter recently.

Vagina remixes and Puscifer news from Maynard

For those of you who dont have a Myspace account, or dont have Puscifer as a friend, here is the blog post maynard made regarding the upcoming "Vagina remixes" which we informed you about yesterday:
Just finished listening to the first ruff master for the V is for Viagra, remix collection. It's so inspiring to hear how others musicians re-interpret these songs. Good times. There are for sure a few stand outs, but I won't ruin it for you.
Lots of stuff about to be hatched. The video for DoZo is almost done. Meats is chain chugging power drinks to get it into the mastering studio on time. It will be released on April 29th, along with "V is for Viagra, the Vagina Remixes album", a 7" vinyl version of Queen B, a 7" vinyl version of DoZo, and the 12" vinyl of V is for Vagina. Patton Oswalt re-wrote the Airline Safety card information for the 12". He's a hoot. Love that guy. And we'll be releasing an iTunes deluxe version of V is for Vagina with some bonus tracks. Yippee.

Early Tool, live clips of 'Part of me' and 'hush'.

I had come across a few very early Tool clips a few months ago and had saved them to my favorites on my Youtube page to put up on here but i forgot about them till today as i was going through my favs looking for something good to put up as news is really slow right now. This clip comes from a show done at the legendary(it seems)JC Dobbs in Philly. you can tell they were going to be something special from this show.
