Puscifer was one of those projects that I was really excited about, and then found myself quite let down when music finally emerged. I honestly only dug one or two songs off "V is for Vagina," although I was fortunate enough to catch their show in Philadelphia and while the ham was sometimes too thick, it was entertaining and worth the short trip to the TLA. The remixes didn't do it for me, but something happened with "'C' Is for (Please Insert Sophomoric Genitalia Reference HERE)" - just about the whole thing was really, really good.
So when I did the terrible pirate thing a week or two ago and downloaded a leak of Conditions of my Parole, I tried not to get my hopes up, lest I be let down like I was with the debut. In fact, despite the goofy cover art, this album is a keeper. Previously I'd cherry-picked tracks from previous releases (thanks Amazon, iTunes) - though I'm not much of a pre-orderer anymore, as soon as I can buy this album, I'm buying the whole thing. Definitely a keeper.
